Two Years and we lost some Gluten :
Huh? Ok, so I took some liberty with my headline ingredients. February has passed and marks a milestone if you are a shop owner, and especially a restaurant. If you can survive 1 year you're doing well; if you can survive 2 years your doing just fine. So Myong wanted to thank you all for your loyalty and honesty. Yes, many of you tell us exactly what's on your mind. Both good and bad; thankfully, there's little that's bad. It's important to hear from you about what you like and what we can do better. Which brings me to my other headline point, Gluten Free. We have found wheat-free soy sauce that allows Myong to really create her signature dishes both gluten free, and without a shift in taste. Almost everything in the gourmet case is now gluten free. Just ask any of our Gourmet Team Members if you have a question.
Catering is in full swing so when you are planning your next party, make it a Myong party. You can be healthy without even trying.

Myong participation at the show created quite a "stir". Gift Cards were given away, her TV Pilot was running on a TV Screen, and the food was flowing. Thanks to Westchester Magazine for making Myong feel right at home. Jen, you were terrific!

Myong Private Label Gourmet NEW Catering Menu
With our First Anniversary behind us, Myong Catering is officially in full swing with a brand new selection of deliciously unique menu items. New World Cuisine is being redefined by Myong. Exciting appetizers like Baby Lamb Chops rubbed with light Middle Eastern spices or Myong’s “House-Cured” Gravlax wrapped around Asparagus Tips are simply amazing. Our salmon is Wild North Atlantic or Pacific North West and you can taste the difference. We also follow and respect NASCO (North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization) guidelines by implementing purchasing procedures to prevent over-fishing.
At our recent tasting, the Smoked Trout Mousse on Endive was a huge hit. Myong’s favorites: Sesame Blackened Tuna on Cucumber with Ginger dotted with a Wasabi Cream Sauce, Citrus Asian Shrimp, and Rolled Smoked Duck Filled with Mango and tied with an Asian Chive dotted by a Spicy Apricot Sauce are a mere few of the thirty plus Hour’s Dovers available.
For an intimate dinner with your best friends you might want to impress your guests with Lobster… stuffed with Lobster. Myong created this dish for a New Years Eve party and it was an instant success. Thin Sliced Chicken in Herb Pesto or Asian Fusion Skirt Steak will send your taste buds on a journey never traveled before.

February marks the 1st Anniversary of the opening of Myong Private Label Gourmet.
The first year has been a challenging one. Myong’s attention to detail and listening to the customers evolves new and unique items like 100% Lentil Vegetarian BAKED Empanadas with a touch of the Middle East, Cilantro Spicy Shrimp and Sesame Seared Tuna salad with Mango and Rice Noodle known as ‘Tropical Tuna Infusion’; and there’s so much more. Beginning on February 12, 2007 Myong will be having tastings all week and some of our Custom Embroidered Kitchen Aprons will be given away.
Myong’s catering has really blossomed. There have been some extravagant parties, one in particular had an entire casino recreated. With the ambition of making every party unique, Myong does not conform to the typical “catering package” that has become the standard. Everything is customized from choosing the right Hors' Dovers, which salad creation will work, and entrée choices that rival 5 star restaurants. Myong Private Label Gourmet is pleased to announce the completion of ‘just myong’ the Television Pilot of a new and exciting cooking show starring MYONG.
Filmed on location at the visually captivating “Myong Private Label Gourmet” store in Westchester, New York. The ‘just myong’ environment is a hustle-bustle of food preparers and customers that forms an experience like nothing else on TV. The store functions while the show is being filmed; anything can happen. MYONG, the free flowing flirty firecracker chef, possesses the ability to amuse and embrace all food lovers to join in with her “You can do it” attitude.
The Show is being ‘shopped’ to all the usual networks that might be interested in delicious new TV programming. All offers including syndication are available and being considered. Supporting the shows business aspects and sponsors, www.justmyong.tv has been created. There, you will find a two minute teaser as well as Part 1 of the Tuna ‘segment’ in which Myong teaches how to buy and prep a huge slab of Sushi Grade Tuna.
